How counting works
Choose a direction, a base date and a number of working days. The calculator visits each calendar date in that direction. Weekly days off and extra closures are skipped; exceptional working days override weekly days off. A date cannot be both an extra closure and an exceptional working day. For backward calculations, the same rules are applied in reverse: this gives a date offset, not a guarantee of available project capacity. A zero-day calculation returns the base date. The calendar shows exactly which dates were counted. Results are planning aids, not statutory or contractual deadline advice. Confirm the actual calendar with the people involved.
